Essentials of Fire Chaplaincy

This course, created by the Federation of Fire Chaplains, provides an opportunity for everyone – experienced chaplains, new chaplains, and prospective chaplains alike – to learn valuable lessons about Fire Chaplaincy. The class consists of 16 hours of instruction, over the course of two days, covering the following areas:

History of Chaplaincy
Personhood of the Chaplain
Ministry to Crisis Victims
Ministry to Fire Personnel
Intro to Critical Incident Stress
Intro to Incident Command
Fire Chaplain Safety
Firefighter Injury or Death
Fire Department Funerals
Confidentiality & Professionalism

Students will receive a completion certificate from the Federation of Fire Chaplains and will have the option to join the organization.
