The Federation of Fire Chaplains, Essentials of Fire Chaplaincy, is an introductory course into Fire Chaplaincy. It is designed to be applicable to those who have been in ministry for many years, those just beginning a Fire Chaplaincy, or those who are seeking information for a potential Chaplaincy.

It will cover topics that include, but are not limited to Foundations of Fire Chaplaincy, the Firefighter Culture, Ministry to Firefighters, Ministry to victims in crisis, Introduction to CISM, Introduction to Fire Ground/Emergency Scene Operations, Firefighter injury and Deaths notifications, and much more.

All who complete the course will receive a certificate from the Federation of Fire Chaplains.
